Welcome to the website of Penyrheol Bowling Club

This site contains information about our bowls club such as its history, acheivements, fixtures and contacts details etc. The club currently has 45 playing members and we field 2 male teams that play in the Rhymney Valley League and the Cardiff Municipal League. Unfortunately efforts to form a female team have proved unsuccessful. The club is always on the lookout for new members and will extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to join. Fred Davies - Died 1st August 2008

It is with great sadness that we report the death of long standing club member Fred Davies. Fred was a 'character' who served the club well. He was a joy to know, full of humour with a vast store of anecdotes and jokes that would keep you in stitches for hours. He loved his bowls and continued to visit the green during his illness to 'encourage the boys'. Fred was well liked and respected by all our members and will be sorely missed by all at the club and the many friends he made in the bowling fraternity.
