Welcome to the website of Penyrheol Bowling Club

The 2009 season has proved to be a very successful one for the club with the Penyrheol side finishing champions of Cardiff Municipal League Division 2 and the 'A' side having just missed out on promotion to Division 4 by only 2 points.

Four of our members achieved their coaching accreditation early in the year and successfully ran 5 coaching sessions for Year 6 pupils from Cwm Ifor Primary School. Regular sessions for local youngsters were also run on Tuesday evenings and Sunday afternoons these were well attended with a number of the youngsters showing considerable promise for the future.

Our year was completed, on the last day of the season, with an extremely successful charity fundraising event in aid of Velindre Hospital. This was well supported by the bowling fraternity with 24 rinks who turned out in glorious sunshine for an excellent day of bowls and helped raise £1133 for the charity. Our grateful thanks go to all participants, organisers, contributors and all behind the scenes workers for making it such a special and successful day.
